'92 500E Tune Up , simple question
 

I am planning to do a Tune Up on a '92 500E, M119 motor and I have beginner a question. I plan to replace the distributor rotors and caps + the plug wires, but how do I remove the distributor hoods (covers) on the front of the heads? They look like they unclip or snap off but I'm not sure. The service manual doesn't tell me anything except that they exist. Can someoen enlighten me on the procedure before I break something. Are there any other gottchas that I should know about and will probably ask later?

Look under the DIY section on this site and you will see everything you need to know about doing this procedure.

I just did this yesterday on my 1994 E420 - super easy and it only took about 30 minutes. Just use the instructions from the DIY section.
