My 280SL has developed a clunk when changing down into first gear when slowing down at, say, traffic lights. I have checked the modulating pressure and noted that this does not fall to 0.6BarG at closed throttle from 2.9BarG at intermediate throttle position as specified in the MB manual.
The problem developed after some wiring work on the transmission and I suspect the throttle position switch is now wired incorrectly. I have not been able to locate a wiring diagram for the auto transmission. Could anybody provide a wiring diagram to me? I would like to hear from anybody who can help with opinions, or provide a wiring diagram. I will reply to any email and will meet postal expenses if no electonic copy is available. Thanks in advance. |
