240 Water pump Pully removal
Howdy, In the process of removing all the AC stuff from my old 240, I need to get the water pump pulley off to remove two of the AC compressor mount. I have the fan/radiator off and can see the pump pulley, on the center shaft I cannot see any splines, keys or anything to keep it on, I am going to make a small puller (bolts to the pulley, has a bolt down the center to apply pressure to the central hub of the pulley) to remove it but before I do I wanted to know if there is a way to get this off without a puller?

I am assuming you have an early 240D with a York compressor. You don't need any pullers. You need a long and good quality 10mm end wrench. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the fan to the pump and pulley. Remove the fan and the pulley is free once you remove the belts.
