My 1987 300e runs great for the first five minutes(aprox)after I start it.When the motor reaches operating temp, the RPMS start to surge. It acts like there is a vacume leak. Another problem I have is the cruse controll. When I engage cruse, the car jerks. The acceleration is not smooth. It keeps doing this till I disengage the cruse.I am totally happy with all other aspects of this car,it accelerates great, handles well and is very comfortable.I forgot to mention it has 95000mi.Hopefully someone can give me some ideas for things to check.
Thanks,Joel

Some of the earlier 300E is not equipped with an air pump which compensates the rpm when you use A/C or any other heavy load.
But the rpm isnīt supposed to lower to much.
Could be a faulty o2sensor and i have also heard some people adding a resistor in series with the temp sensor to raise the richness and have a more stable engine.
