I've replaced the clutch fan on this car with a SPAL 16" electric fan and thermo-switch. Been driving around for over a week now in hot and cold weather (anyone from San Diego, CA knows the huge thermometer we've had over the last week). So far so good. seems to warm up faster and temp stays more constant around operating temp(90-100 on guage). No problems getting too hot. My question is, now that I have a constant RPM fan that is temp. controlled can I get rid of the auxillary fan in front of the radiator? My thought is I don't think I need it now and it might even hinder the performance of the bigger fan behind the radiator. I have a manual override for the fan as well.

Don't get rid of the aux fan! Keep it connected so the pressures in the A/C will be lower.
