I dont know where this thread should go,so I thought I might try the "Tech Help" since it is the most frequented.I'd seen this stainless steel (brushed finish) chrome grill insert on a W126 recently,and instead of the typical Mercedes horizontal aluminium strips running across, this one has vertical flat strips approximately 1cm each.The interval between each flat strip measures about 1.5cm.It has a machined-finished kind of look,and it does look kinda unique to me.Best thing is,you still get to keep the star-logo on top of the grill!Only the stock plastic "net" insert is replaced.

I heard that I could possibly get it from Germany,but does anyone here has any leads?

I haven't seen it in NA, but I have seen pictures from Europe that show w126s with grills like you have mentioned. Maybe someone on this forum from Europe could give you a contact for them.

Hmm....so at least it does exist! :)
As for the aesthetics, it depends on how the car is done up and whether the vertical grille suits the car. I may just want to give it a try if it's not too expensive.

I'm still trying to search through the Internet, but so far no results.
