I HAVE A 83 380SEC AND I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE THE SINGLE OR DOUBLE TIMING CHAIN .....HOW CAN I TELL WHAT I HAVE...THANKS.

Well the best way to tell is remove valve cover & see. ALL 1981-83 380's came with single chain!! The cam gear on the rt side can be viewed thru the oil filler cap. IF the gear has OVAL holes then the double row chain conversion has been done. IF the gear has ROUND holes... well then be careful!
