92 MB 190e 2.6L model burns oil
Any suggestions on where to start? What're the likely causes and economical fixes? MW in PDX

Don't automatically accept "burn" .... check for obvious and easy repairs first like leaking valve cover, front cover seal, oil level sending unit etc.
These engines tend to be quite good and long lasting. Do you see evidence of burning? How do the spark plugs look? Haasman

That's an M103 engine, right? If so, my bet is valve seals and/or guides. Easy fix if it's the seals, not so easy (or cheap) if it's the guides.
