I found the control module in the passenger footwell, but what connectors/wires should I unplug to disable alarm.

Reason I want to disable alarm is that I can not set alarm without it going off voluntary within 5-10 minutes.

Thanks, Johnny

Without a wiring diagram its hard to say how little can be disconnected. I think its safe to say that if you disconnect both plugs you will disable it.

I do not think there are any side affects (other systems using similar circuits).

Steve there are three modules or relays in the front passenger footwell. I am not sure which one's to dis-connect, so I will give you descriptions and part numbers and may be you can advise.

I will list these directionally from center console moving left to right towards passenger door. 1) MB 126 820 08 26, relay/module color is black with two black plug in connectors; 2) Bosch 0285 001 003, aluminum relay/module with one black connector; 3) Bosch 0285 100 014, aluminum relay/module with one black connector.

Hopefully this will help. There are other connectors in the footwell, but they are not directly connected to these relays/modules.

Appreciate your help. Johnny

The black plastic one with two harness connections should be the one.

Johnny,
Do you have any idea what causes the alarm to go off? I had a similar problem on my SDL after having a AM/FM/CD player installed. The car was just fine for a while, and all of a sudden, the alarm would go off. I carried it back to the people that installed the radio, and they fixed it, apparently, a problem with the wiring. Hope this helps.

First off, thanks for your help Steve. I unpluged the connectors on the black module or relay and it disabled the alarm system.

Ken, I am not really sure what causes the problem with alarm system. I believe I heard from a previous post that there is a sensor or switch in each door that is prone to go bad after a certain period of time. Trouble shooting and repair cost can get fairly pricey so I decided to disable the system. See Ya, Johnny
