Thumbs up fuel pump relay

hi everyone
can anyone tell me where the fuel pump relay is on a mercedes 230e 1985

there is a box right infront of the fuse box, it is under the cover,tall black box
about 3 inches by 2 inches

Sorry Ray i do believe the relay is behind the black cover which is behind the battery Harald

you are thinking of a 124, the 230E in 1985 is a 123

it is a euro model, 123 i have the same car in a wagon, 230TE definately not a 201, 230E or TE were never made for U.S. market

ok Ray,it did not say if it was a 123 or a 201.cause of the european model i thought it was a northamerican car.Cool

the reason i thought you were talking about a 124 was because there was also a 124 230E in europe, but what you were reffering to is a North America 190E 2.3., he may have that, but while technically it is a 230E it is not common to refer to them as that from what i have seen.

as stated above there is a box right infront of the fuse box, it is under the cover,tall black box

sorry but there is not a black box where you say. i am very puzzled about this car.
