85 380sl - Transmission won't engage

First, I searched all the transmission posts and could not find a remedy that fits my problem.

I have a 1985 380 sl Automatic Transmission 88k on her. All of a sudden just this week, when I try to move from a stopped position in any drive gear she won't go. Reverse works fine no problem at all. Any drive gear - Nothing, unless I have a moving start then she will "catch" and go fine until I come to a stop again. There were no syptoms prior to this happening

I have checked and replaced the following:

1) Checked Transmission fluid level. Smells fine, looks fine and at right level
2) I have replace the Linkage Bushings
3) I have replaced the hose that connects to my transmission modulator
4) I have checked for leaks and there is no leaking of transmission fluid from anywhere on the car. Modulator is dry also.

Any suggestions please.....Last thing I want to do is take a weekend to replace the tranny.

Thanks

Exclamation

The B2 band is the componet that allows for forward movement. Try searching for B2 band/piston problems!
