Last Saturday I took the 16V out for some "fun". After the dentist (1 hr; not fun)it started fine. After the grocery store (10-mins) it'd start, but immediately die -- 6 or 7 times, then finally back to normal. After the duck pond (45-mins) it'd start, but immediately die -- 6 or 7 times, then finally back to normal. After the Stanford Museum (40-mins) it'd start, but immediately die -- 6 or 7 times, then finally back to normal.
What gives? Fuel Pump Relay? Suggestions welcome! Thanks! Brian |
It sounds like you have a fuel pump relay that is messing with you.

Check your ignition coil. Sometimes you may have some high resistence in the primary wiring or the coil is going bad. Check your connections. Your fuel pump relay could also be acting up. Could be somthing else in the igntion system. How is the cap. rotor, wires etc?
