1990 300SE - power failure.
Last few weeks, I noticed that the interior lights took a few seconds to illuminate after I opened my driver's door.
Delay of about 4 seconds. Didn't think anything of this- figured it was the cold weather moving into town. Tonight I get in the car, notice the delay before the interior lights turn on- ignore it as it hasn't yet caused a problem. I turn the key and all power goes out. No start, nothing. I went out and checked things a few hours later: lights come on after I open the door- same 4 second delay- turn the key towards start position and all electric goes dead. Any ideas? Car has started every time for me the last 8 years. Dissapointed. leaving town tomorrow to visit family for thanksgiving- flying so no car needed. Car drove great the day before. Strange. Weather related? Temps have dropped here in NC lately. THanks. |
