Suggestions Needed For Turbo Upgrade
 

Car - 1983 300 S D - 5 cylinder turbodiesel. I have heard that for performance you need to upgrade to a better turbo...someone mentioned a hybrid turbo -- a T3/T4 . Any body have any suggestions or explanations.

Where'd you hear that? These cars have all the air the fuel system will handle. You have a long way to go in maxing the fuel output of the IP before a bigger turbo will be of any benefit... and a pretty short way to damage a fine engine if you don't know what you're doing.
