Long story short. Driving 75mph heard a big bang under the car, shift rods,GONE. flex disk,GONE. Today I was looking under the car after buying a new flex disk, I noticed a crack in the trans where the mount sits. The gears seem to be fine as well as the shaft can [JB weld] be used to seal the trans? If so that will make my day if not is there any thing I can do without replaceing the whole trans? Any info whould be helpful, maybe something else you know could help.

Hard to answer your direct question without seeing the damage. If there is no structural component to the piece that is broken (just is needed to keep the oil inside) then JB weld might do.

I know from professionally maintaining MB's for 30 years that the problem you had indicates you don't maintain your car properly! Whether you do it yourself or you pay someone to do it, monioring the state of the flex disc along with suspension, driveline, exhaust, etc. are part of semianual maintenance. One must decide to pay for, learn to do it one's self, or live with the consequenses. I must say it does take a special knack to drive one of those to complete failure though. I have only seen it about 10 times out of the 100s of serious failures.

You are lucky though, two of the complete failures I have seen have blown the airbags when the driveshaft collided with the tunnel that has the crash sensor mounted to it.

the above post has many truisms in it but in your case perhaps you just got the car and havent had much chance to scope things out.

This is true, I haven't had time to check everything out, Because of work, 6 days a week. But this is my first MB and I don't know much about this car besides it's a benz and I love it. But no major components are damage just the part to keep the oil in. I am a enthusist so I am egared to learn everything there is to know about this car, So I think jb weld will do the trick I just wanted a second opinon before I sent it to a shop I think I can handel it. Thans alot for the respond this should help if you think of anything else that you think I should know I am open to all suggestion.

just be sure to get it really clean in the areas you are gluing back together.
