i dont know
about the cheapest.
the best and only ones i will buy and use on my benzes are bilstein. i tried kyb and boge but both disappointed. in years past i did sears and gabriel too. tom w |
The best are Bilsteins. They are relatively expensive, but for the price differential they are worth it. Good ride, yet they provide excellent damping and very long life.

It would help if you would list the mileage of the car. Next question is whether you or prior owner ever replaced the front struts. If yes, then what brand? You would want to match brands front to back.
Having said that, it is not necessary to replace struts/shocks out of hand. If you have no handling symptoms and no leaks, leave them alone. Finally cheapest often ends up resulting in dissatisfaction and more expense over the long haul. Go with Biltstein. Steve |
Go with Bilstein. For one thing, if you put cheap ones on the back, you'll feel the difference in handleing-- safety factor here. They also last longer than cheap shocks, which saves in the long run.
