Seems like everytime i take my car to a scheduled maintenance, the ball joint need to be tightened or replaced.

Is this an ongoing problem with all 1997 C36's? or even all C-classes? Or is it just me. I don;t drive the car all that hard. Regular driving i guess. Definitealy no wild cornerings and i try to avoid pot holes. (not that there are many in Toronto)

Any info would be appreciated.

What is the symptom that the ball joints have to be replaced? Can you please advise?

Well, the technician decribed it as a clunking sound when you go over bumps.

After they serviced it..the car felat brand new. I can feel every single bump on the road. Seems more responsive too. And when i turn onto driveways, no clunking sound...just smooth like new.

I have a problem on my kompressor and I don't know if it is related. Dealer hasn't found a way to fix it yet! It is intermittent. i can hear clunking when turning or crusing at around 700rpm after driving for half hour. Any suggestions? It first happened when I turned into the garage to park.
