Does anybody know where to call or find out online the date of manufacture of a given vehicle (E320)?
Sindelfingen? Stuttgart?? MB USA? |
Simple Solution...
Just call any Mercedes Dealer near you, and give them the VIN, you'll be surprised what they can tell you about that car!

Horst,
Evidently, you don't have access to the vehicle; if you do, look on data plate on driver's door post, of course. 'Don't mean to sound like some wise a-- (guy). Good luck. |
longston, wilton,
I think I read a post of Horst before; he is from Germany and the european cars do not have a VIN/data plate on the driver's door post... Horst, If you are talking about a German car, the date of ersten Zulassung is written on the Fahrzeugbrief on page 2 behind box# 32. Page 4 has a stamped 7000 Stuttgart date... If you are talking about any car without having the car papers to look at and having the cars' chassis#; you can check the manufacturers date at any MB dealer (they can look up every single part of the car just by chassis#). Can one imagine what happens when one comes to the MB dealer with a completely modified 1993 C class and wants to order something that fits the installed 1996 AMG interior... greetingz, |
Horst, 'my apolopgies for really sounding like a smart a--.
