Did you receive the key yet and if so where did you get it cut?

A bit of a "ripoff" since you can accomplish the same "effect" with an old ML flipkey, a dremel cutting tool and some JBweld. I used a spare key, cut off the blade and slightly reshaped the shank so that would insert into the ML fob's switchblade hinge.

It works and the most you can say about it is that it prevents the key from scratching anything else in your pocket, like a cell phone or PDA. The worst thing about it . . . it really really makes you want to have the remote locking feature. So, I bit the bullet and bought an aftermarket switchblade type unit that integrates into the vaccum lock system.

Not yet

Have not received yet, but the locksmith down the street from where I live can do it. As long as you find a locksmith with the machine that can do the side-winder key, you are fine.

For those interested in getting the keyless entry part of the system and can't find MTI's solution here is what I bought and installed in my w124.

The installation went relatively smoothly and I used a dremel tool to get the key cut to the right shape and cut the groove for the screw to hold the key in place. I didn't even have to use JB weld as the screw mechanism worked as it does in the other OEM MB flip keys and holds the key securely.

I bought the unit on the german ebay (ebay.de) from the same seller and paid about $20 (USD) less than the buy it now + shipping no the US ebay.

I love having the flip key AND the keyless entry.
