Any great 4matic techs?
This is another age old question. here's the history. Bought the car with a transmission that was installed by local Mercedes dealer. only has 20k on it. $matic light never came on, suspected it was removed. Got a little crazy in the rain and the car started spinning but ! light flashed and all of a sudden it hooked up so i assumed it was working. There are NO ABS codes. ABS works. I recently have had it spinning tires frequently and no the 4matic is not working. Put a bulb in and it is lit constantly. If I removed battery cable for some time it turn the light out but it will immediatley re-light after starting car. I have checked brake light switch on 4matic side and it is normally closed which i think is correct? Can anyone help?

I think that generation of 4matic is considered very problematic.
Most who are faced with it's repair end up leaving it in non working order due to it's high $$$ and likelyhood of recurrence. Maybe someone with more knoledge than me (read none) will chime in. Good luck.
