W123 Vacuum Door Locks
 

I have a 1985 300TD Turbo Wagon and DO NOT :mad: want to spend the rest of my life fighting these vacuum door locks. Is it possible to close off (disable) the vacuum lines that go to these locks and just lock the doors manually?

Find the line that comes from the vacuum pump/ or goes to the reservoier and plug it

Power Locks are now manual!
 

I think that's what I'll do. It's just not worth the aggravation of trying to figure out these blasted vacuum lines!

The manual gives a step by step troubleshooting procedure for checking and fixing them. Follow that and it's not that hard to get them to work right.

I think the "Performance Products" catalog shows diagrams and sells parts. The system is very simple.

I agree, the vacuum lacks on a 123 are very easy to fix anf pretty reliable. I've had one bad actuator on mine in 4 years.
