1993 320te idle problem HELP please

I have just got a realy nice 320te but it won't idle when hot, starts first time and runs perfectly until it warms up then the idle drops to 500 rpm and the idle control valve tries to compensate but it never settles down, I have changed the inlet manifold gaskets, temperature sender unit and have checked for vacuum leaks but still no joy could it be the idle control valve ?. Please help

Exclamation

IN the USA that car would have a M104.992 engine! That engine has a "throttle actuator" instead of an idle valve. That actuator is computer controlled, reading codes from that computer would be the logical starting point!

Welcome & good luck.
