2003 C class dash pad R&R
I have a new dash pad to replace a damaged dash pad on a 2003 C240. I have done this to a couple of 124 cars. Has anyone donethis to the current C class or have the procedure?

Yes. if you get stuck, gimmie a shout. You can leave the steering wheel on.
3 t20 screws on the left lower under panel, 3 more on the right. 2 on the bottom the the left knee panel, one above the ebrake release, then pop off the inside fuse cover on the left and pop the clip for the headlight module. one screw under that cover and one behind the headlamp module. clips hold it to the upper dash. remove the center console, vents, acc, radio, etc and there are 3 more screws for the left panel beihnd that. Youll see three for the right side there too. two are in the roof of the glove box, one under the left side of the glove box and two more behind the right side end cover. after al thats out reach up and unplug the green and yellow airbag connectors, unscrew the 10 mm bolts holding the airbag to the frame. remove the a pillar trim pieces, instrument cluster and pop off the end clips by the defrost vents to expose the screws, one on each side. remove the 3 gold colored t20 screws behind the cluster and 3 black t20's directly under the cluster. one last screw in the center of the dash behind where the center vents were. pull that sucker out. enjoy, unless i forgot anything :D |
