glow plug indicator
I have a 1980 240d. The glow plug indicator has quit. The light comes on when I crank the starter, so i know it's not the bulb. Is there a temp sensor? Any ideas? I don't think the plugs are actually glowing. Where's the contoller? How can I check?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |
Break out the ohm meter and check the glow plugs. Good ones will read about 0.6 ohms cold. Check the fuse while you're in there too.
