~~~HELP~~~ MY 2000 S500 shifter/transmission has locked up!??
 
I went to start my car this morning and everything started fine.. However, when I attempted to switch the gear to Drive I got an unpleasant surprise, the gear shifter won't move! It just stays in park. All I can do is start the car and that's it. No reverse, drive, N, PLEASE somebody help me!?

That car requires you to press the brake to shift from "P" are you doing this?

If so, then perhaps the safety switch or lock-out mechanism is bad.
