Friend about to purchase a 1996 E320, 49K miles, approx. $29K. Private party. One reservation - electrical? the owner claims that the ignition switch doesn't start every now and again. Whazzup with that??? TIA, --Mitch

There are so many inter-connected electrical systems that this could be a tough one. Could be the ignition switch or even the gear shift linkage adjustment, or umpteen other contacts. Good luck, Ed.
