Help...what part is this?
 

Hi,
I was looking under the rear wheel wells of my 94 e320 when i noticed that on the right i can see the stainless steel rod of the shock. On the left side its covered with something black. I'm trying to figure out what part that is.
Sorry about the bad description. I will get pictures of it asap.

Sounds like the " dust cover " is missing on the right side.
You should not be able to see the shock rod. ;)
