This is not a big deal really, but was wondering if this was an easy fix. I do have an aftermarket alarm system on my car that operates the door locks as well, if this might be related. Well my doors unlock fine whenever I use the remote only, they do not unlock from the switch on the console. Also, when I open up any front door from the inside, all doors should unlock, but they don't. Whenever I push the button on the console to lock doors, it does it everytime, as with the remote. But when I turn the car off, the doors always unlock.
So my problem is is that the doors do not unlock when the console unlock switch is pushed, nor do they unlock when (when doors are all locked) one of the front doors is opened. But sometimes, 2% of the time, it will work. I test it every now and then. And it will work as many times as I try it. But then when I think about testing it again later, it NEVER works. Any clue????

YOUR Problem IS...

That it's 11:30+ PST, on a Saturday night, and you're posting to an internet forum about a lock problem with your Mercedes instead of being out on a DATE!!!!

DAVID! GO OUT, MEET, AND GET HOOKED UP WITH SOME WOMEN!!!!

If you ae having a problem in this area, why don't you call up Alon Asherman, or "Sensuous John" for some advice?

I can't help you, I live in No. Cali, I'm married, and not half the stud that "Sensuous John" is... ;)

AND I'M SORRY IF I DECIDED TO COME HOME EARLY FOR ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU should be PROUD OF ME!

OK, Yer Right...

David,

I love that you "get it", and have such a great sense of humor! :D

I just thought, you know, you and Alon are both young, virile So-Cal L.A. guys, you're in Newport Beach, he's in 90210, you both have Mercedes'.

You know, come to think of it, it really isn't such a great idea to have you two in cahoots. I don't want to be even remotely responsible for any drag racing on The Sunset Strip!!!

But I really think you need to read this thread:

to fully understand my reference to JCE... He Da MAN!

On the original question, I think you need to find out who the manufacturer of the alarm system is, and get their input. Remember that what we may view as a glitch, the seller may have offered as a "feature". ;)
