Blower Regulator - '98 E300/320

Hi!

I just bought a blower regulator for my '98 E300 from Phil. Since the whole motor and regulator needed to be replaced, Phil sold me a unit that work work well with just a change of the electrical connector.

I pulled the old one off and it was the wrong size regulator - but it did have white paste on it. Am I supposed to put a paste on it before I put in the new regulator?

The part will be here in the morning. If someone could help me out and let me know what they did, so I don't do it wrong.

Thanks,
Richard

The white past is for heat transfer since the motor frame acts like a heat sink.

Just to add a source for the heat transfer paste if you need some you can get it from your local Radio Shack.
