Dan. My wood was replaced a while ago in my W126 and I could only find the Burlwood facia that had 2 extra cutouts in it ( and oh boy, was it expensive ! ) Find 2 extra switches from you scrap yard and these can be used to ' plug ' the holes. They have to be fitted before you fit the facia to the car as they clip in from the back of the panel. I had to buy a recirc. switch last year as I could not find one at the breakers and that was $85  so get them from the yard and clean them up !

Of course, you can use a fake one to fill the hole!!
Get it from salvage yard - used parts supplier. You don't even have to tell anybody it's "fake". |
I think there is a blank plastic cover which is the size of a switch, to cover this. For cars without certain options, (heated seats, etc?)
Maybe partsshop or the dealership? Or maybe an electronics place? This should be a cheap part. Good luck! |
If there are plastic blanks available, I think I will take two ! It is, as they say, watch this space ! I often smile to myself when I drive my 300CE as it has a switch on the centre panel for snow chains ! Snow, in Dubai, that'll be the day :D
