Licence plate lights?
 

Hello my licence plate lights come on as courtesy lights when opening the trunk but do not come on as regular licence lights when headlights are on. Any ideas how to fix?

Sounds like someone connected the trunk light feed, from the trunk lid switch, to the license plate lights. There should be a feed from the parking lights to the license plate lights, just a matter of finding the correct wire. A wiring diagram and a volt meter would help a lot.

Hmmm? I'd be surprised if someone had moneyed with this wiring. I don't know that this car has been buggered around with like that. Are the Lic lights not supposed to come on as a courtesy light when you stick the trunk key in the lock?
