Rear lens seal - where to buy ??
 

Other than the dealer, can anyone recommend a good online site where I can buy a taillamp seal for my 1985 Mercedes?

I did a search on a couple of Mercedes parts sites that has some seals, but none listed for the rear lens. Is this going to be a dealer only item?

I don't think that there is a 3rd party supplier for my SL, I looked around a lot; maybe you will be luckier. I was very lucky to find a set on ebay for about 1/2 the going rate (about $100 EACH!). I'm surprised that no one is making them - for most people, you find out you need them when there's no more metal to hold the taillights in...

BTW - I wonder why they are so much more expensive for the SL? I do not recall the lamps being that much larger, unless a thicker seal is required.

Fastlane, make sure they are OE. You don't want aftermarket seals.

SL parts arn't cheap.
