Window trim polish
I have searched long and hard with no avail.
As I have read I am like many out there that need to polish thier window trim. That ugly haze is hard to get off. What I learned, The haze is under a varnish or plastic coating and polishing will not reach it. I have heard that sanding it off and getting to the pure metal is the only way. Well I have used the cotton wade al/chrome polish-no luck. 3000 grit polishing compound with buffing wheel-no luck. I will now try 1000 grit and see what happens. Has anyone got better ideas? |
Just wad up a small piece of alluminum foil, dip into water and rub the rail back and forth. The foil will shape to the rail (area). Tough spots I will add some alluminum cleaner. Its elbow grease but works well. High speed verion is dremel tool with buffing drum and metal polish.
