oil leak on 300e 91

Hi, my 300 leaks oil somewhere from the top of the engine (in front), and I am unable to pinpoint it. Checked the cover gasket, it seems it is tight.
Read somewhere that cranckcase breather might be plugged up and forcin oil out. Does anybody in this forum have experience with something like this.
I would appreciate your input, and thank you.

Also where is crackcase breather?

The crankcase ventilation tube is the tube that connects the top of the valve cover to the air box housing... there is also another small tube towards the middle of the valve cover on the driver's side that connects to the intake manifold.

Hope this is of some use. If the leak is from the front, look at the area around the distributer and the timing chain housing.

Upper Timing Cover

The upper timing cover is a very common source of oil leaks on the M103 engine. The leak appears on the front passenger side of the engine above the timing chain tensioner plug.

There are plenty of treads on sealing the leak. I bought all the stuff here on fastlane and fixed my car. That was several years ago and it is still dry. The key is to clean all the old gunk and oil off the surfaces, especially in the gap at the head gasket area.

Good Luck.
