Non MB - Chevy Venture Temp Guage
Sorry for the non MB issue.........
2001 Chevy Venture, runs fine and temperature gets to normal although at first the temp guage only registered half of normal. Now it does not register anything. I changed the sending unit this morning and it did not correct the problem. Any sugestions? Thanks, Eric

Take the wire off the sending unit & ground it.
The dashgauge should either read " hot " or " cold ". If it doesn't I would think the gauge itself is the problem.

The connection has two wires. I first tried jumping the two connections but no luck. I then tried grounding and no luck.........

You may have 2 senders.
One is for the computer ( ECM ), the other for the actual temperature gauge on the dash. If you get no response on the dash gauge by jumping or grounding the sensor, my money would be on a faulty dash gauge.
