2001 Clk55 Amg Power Steering Hissing When Turn The Wheel?
 
How come when I am turning my steering wheel (usually at a stop) I can hear some hissing noise? I believe it's coming from the pump, what do you guys think? Everything works great but just making sure everything's good.. I checked the fluid level and it's good.

Most power steering pumps make a noise when you go to " full lock " with the wheel.
It's the reliefvalve opening. ;)

sometimes the plastic reservoir o-ring will allow air to be drawn in, that will causes a hissing, the same oring may or may not leak fluid from this area and causes the same symprom, do you have to add fliud sometimes?

It is normal for the pump to get louder when a large load is placed on it. How loud is the pump?
