87 300E- How do I remove glovebox?

I think at least one of my vacuum operated diaphrams for airflow is inoperable. I get slight airflow out of the side vents when driving even when the O button on the far right is pushed. The threads say remove the glovebox to check the vacuum but how do I get the box out? Thanks.

Around the edge of the glovebox there are some grey, two part fasteners. Pry the center piece of the fastener out which will release the outer part of fastener so that it can be pryed out. Once all the fasteners are out, you will pry the lamp unit out of the box and disconnect the electrical connector. You then can pull the glove box.

Good luck,

The part of the fastener that you can see looks like a thumb tack. Just pry straight up on it and then you'll see what to do
