I HAVE POSTED THIS BEFORE BUT I WANTED TO TRY AGAIN, THE TRANSMISSION IN MY 82 300D WILL NOT GO INTO ANY GEAR, I HAVE CHANGED FILTERS, FLUID, INSTALLED NEW BUSHINGS ON SHIFT ROD AND MADE SURE THAT EXTERNAL LINKAGE WAS OK, ANY SUGGESTIONS OF SOMETHING ELSE I MIGHT TRY TO CURE THIS PROBLEM

did this problem happen suddenly ( over night) or was it gradual? (vibrations, not working in just a few gears?)
good luck!

NO MOVEMENT IN AUTO TRANSMISSION

THIS HAPPENED SUDDEN, I HAD NOT EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS AND I BACKED OUT OF MY GARAGE AND WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE IT WOULD NOT MOVE EITHER FORWARD OR REVERSE

Isn't that the classic symptom of the B2 failure?
Which would mean it can be fixed "easily".

Being at home I can't verify power flow but the B2 problem only affects going forward if I recall. I think reverse is just the forward brake discs (clutches that anchor to the case) and the one way clutch. Could be wrong though.

I would check your system pressure. I have seen a number of front pump problems cause a no-go situation.

Do you get a speedo reading when you rev the motor in drive??
