How are they Rhino ramps or are their better ones to buy? Any problems with them sliding forward? The last ramps I had were old metal ones my father had used many years ago. I remember they were longer and seemed to be easier to drive car on them. Thanks

The trick to ramp sliding on you is to cut a piece of plywood 6' longer than the ramps and put a 2x4 cleat in the front .
When using the ramps, you place them on the wood with cleat foward ..now thw tire and weight of the car is on the plywood before going up the ramp incline .. the weight of the car stops the ramp from moving..
..and the two plywoods store easily anywhere ..
I am surprised ramp companies don't make the ramp with a 6" flat entrance, as that would do the same thing... you will notice that the ramps only slide until the weight gets on the incline..........
I have never seen any, but maybe someone makes one...
Anyway , a simple cure for the fault............

I like Ultra-Ramps by Tru-Cut, and their extension. Metal ramps that my 205/60/15 tires fit on perfectly with a few inches to spare on both sides.
have mine for about eight years with no problems.
The few times they have slid, it was never a big issue, just tried a second time and up I went.

I recently got a set of Rhino Ramps. I got the heavier set, rated at 6K lbs each, or 12K total.

They are quite wide enough for the (stock) tires on my W210. They have a rubber bumper at the bottom of the toe to prevent sliding, and that feature seems to work fine. I wedge them under the front tires, align them so they're straight, and drive right on. They have never slipped.

I don't know if there are better options, but I can recommend them.

Thanks all for the input. I too bought a set of the Rhino ramps(8000 lb) toay while at checking out a new WalMart supercenter. The price as $22.00 which was $10.00 cheaper than Sears and $20.00 less than AutoZone. I'll give them a try tomorow.

It does look like the extensions on the ultra ramps should be enough to avoid slipping.

I have used the plastic heavy ones for the last 6 years and Its for my motorhome and I leave it on them to level it as my driveway slants, no problems even at 120 degress in summer
