I recently got my windows tinted, and today is the first day I have rolled them down in three weeks.
When I rolled them up, the driver's rear window was balky at first. I worked with it, and finally got it moving, but now, it stops about an inch from the top. It does not seem to stick there, but acts as if that is just where it is supposed to seat. Roll it down, goes all the way, no problem. Roll it up, seats about 1" from top. Anyone know what is going on? Jack 93 400e |

Your window regulator has failed. You can get one in the fast lane. We will ship it to your door.
I have seen this many, many times.

Thanks Benzmac, that is what I suspected.
Until the part gets here, I guess I will try the old "screwdriver in the track" trick. It won't be the first time - the '73 280 (euro lamps) I had in college had the driver's window regulator fail. Funny how cars from the same maker have the same peculiarities. Say, the fastlane is offline right now - do you happen to know that part number? Thanks, Jack 93 400e |
