Hi

I am about to replace my fuel filter for my W124 260E soon. Just wonder which manufacturers' filter to use? I have found Bosch, and Mann-Filter for about the same price. Anyone knows which is the better filter to use?

Welcome any recomendation.

Thanks

The whole fuel injection system on the car is Bosch. The filter that the car came with from the factory is Bosch. There is nothing wrong with Mann,Hengst or Mahle but when it comes to fuel filters on Benz, stick with Bosch! Now on the oil filter Mann & Hengst are O.E.

Thanks guys for your inputs.

We all knew that Bosch made the fuel injection. So I will stick with Bosch.

Fuel filter is underneath the chassis, near the back of the car, passenger side, beside the fuel pump itself.

Is the fuel pump on the passenger side? I have nothing there, and I suppose that is because my car is a right-hand drive, yea? I do have 2 cylindrical-looking stuff under the chassis at the rear wheel, and I suppose THAT is the fuel pump?

One more question: what specifically are the 2 cylinders called? I have heard names ranging from fuel accumulator to fuel distributor. Are they all the same thing?

I'm getting a bit lost........
