I have a bad coolant leak at what appears to be the surface where the water pump mounts to the block. In looking through fastlane parts there are several o-rings and parts listed. Do I need a new water pump or is there an o-ring that can be changed? If so what do I need? The pump doesn't appear to be leaking from the pulley shaft as I am used to when they have failed on other makes I have owned. Thanks for any help.
Steve

I have never seen the o-ring fail. It is always the pump. The leak hole in the pump will cause coolant to leak right by that area.

Thanks,
Sounds like time for a new pump.
Any tips on the change?
Thanks
Steve

Use MBZ remanufactured pump, they want core.
Get new Bolts!!!! If your pump has a hose between the
water outlet and pump, replace it. Time to check radiator
hoses, replace if necessary. Replace thermostat and of course use MBZ antifreeze. Use torque wrench on pump bolts.
Good luck,

Gary

Why buy a MBZ water pump when you can support this web site and buy a OE german Laso water pump brand new at a better price and not have to deal with the core 1032003701 at http://www.peachparts.com/catalog by pass hose is 1032030082 upper hose 1245019382 and lower 1265016082 you will laugh all the way to the bank ô¿ô
