need tranny oil filter change tutorial
 
I want to drain torque converter and clean pan and replace gasket and filter but do it well,i need tutorial or instructions,can anyone shoot me one over or more than one.thanks:kid:

Im working on mercedes Diesels of course
w116 and w123.

If it's a 722.6 here is a link from the DIY section.

The 722.4 will be similar but will already have a dipstick, won't need an infrared thermometer to measure temp, and the fluid will be different.

if you don't have a 27mm and a breaker bar..you can use a strong flathead screw driver leveraged in the housing and slowly rotate clockwise until you get to the torque converters allen bolt...

a lot of fluid comes out of the converter...

best advice: have a plastic lined box or pan larger than the pan... no way to avoid spiillage and a mess when the pan is removed....about a half quart remains in the pan after you drain it...

i use synthetic since it will be in there for 30k miles... dont' notice a difference between it and regular fluid..but it makes me feel better.
