CLK License plate lamp replacement trunk lid/lip removal problem!
 

I can't get the license plate lamp bulbs replaced because the service manual says there's only two screws that should be removed in order to remove the trunk lip/lid.. There's actually two screws and one screw in the middle that can't be removed..

So somebody tell me,what's the trick?? How do I get the middle screw that has no cross threads!?

Those screws are actually just plugs that you pry out...they will come out and then the ring that they are in will come out too....just reverse the process when you put them back in.
