Aftermarket front W124 AMG Bumper

Trying to locate an aftermarket front bumper for W124 300CE. I was the unfortunate target of a 4' X 8" sheet of plywood flying from the back of a truck on the interstate. I hit it at 70 MPG without the opportunity to even brake.

Anyone know of a location for a possible replacement?

Good luck... I'm trying to find one myself, been looking for over a year with no luck. I think only the Gen II version is available at the dealer now, about $1400 wholesale (ouch). Never seen any copies for sale. I'm looking for a Gen II front bumper, used, in good shape if anyone knows of one.

FYI... the Gen I have square holes for the driving lights, the Gen II has half-moon shaped holes. I need the Gen II.

Here's a photo of the Gen II front bumper:

Full "B6-" kit:

Yeah. Been told all the aftermarket kits available today require cutting and fitting. I'd love to find an old OEM part. Good luck right?

I gave up trying to find either used or aftermarket, and bought a new AMG Gen2 kit from the dealer a couple years ago. The genuine AMG items are really nice, they are ABS (?) not fiberglass, and should be a lot more durable than any 'glass replicas. It's quite painful on the ol' bank account though. I can't afford to do everything at once... still saving up $$$ for the paint job, maybe next year.

Part numbers for the various kits are in this document: - note the page titles, make sure you're looking at the proper numbers for Gen1 or Gen2, and also note some items are different for sedan / wagon / coupe:

http://www.w124performance.com/images/W124_AMG_kits/124_AMG_body_kits.pdf

You want the 'B6-' numbers, which are complete kits. Lowest price I know of is from here, enter the number without the B (i.e., type in 6-602-0730, not B6-602-0730 (dashes not required). Warning... their shipping is expensive, 15% flate rate, which eats up most of the savings. Call your local dealer and see if they'll cut you a deal, then you can pick it up locally and skip the steep S&H fees.

Raceonusa appears to have outrageous shipping charges, despite low prices on the body kits. Someone else commented: "Raceonusa has terrible reviews, across all makes of vehicles. The RX7 forums I'm on have a litany of issues." Ouch.

Probably a good idea to do some research before buying. Although the genuine AMG items are spendy, they are top quality and very durable (i.e., they'll take some moderate abuse, like kissing curbs, without cracking).

IMO: minimum possible quality/fit/finish/function/durability...

well they're not too far from me, so i can pick up from them. as far as fitment, if a body kit i bought didn't fit, i'd just do a chargeback on my credit card, and once received, drop off the body kit back at their place of business
