Bump up post - naughty I know...

Ok so this isn't looking good. Does anyone want to buy a tool as I could offset the cost by making several. The cost will be dependant on
requests :)

Oh, and Phil at FastLane never replied - disappointed :(

Start with 2.0 mm rod, a coathanger will work, at least a U.S. coathanger, also welding rod. It is then bent into a U shape, 20 mm across at the bottom of the U, with the sides of the U about 2.5 to 3 inches long. The two ends of the U are then filed to a 70 degree angle inward, i.e. so that the points at the end of the U are on the outside edge. The 70 degree number seems to vary by source but not all that critical - anything close should work.

Are you talking about something like this:

Or the long V-shaped tools in this kit:

Looks like a 5/16 ball end endmill....

I could make one....

The mechanics and production is not an issue as I have a complete R&D machine shop includin lathes, Mills 5-axis cutter (ok alittle over-kill for this one), however the dimensions are critical.

Looks like I'm going to have to buy one and start selling on ebay! ;-)

If anyone's interested let me know :)

Which ignition barrels does that tool work on? I assume the 210 series (since thats the p/n start) but others?

The first tool is for removing the plastic escutheon surrounding the lock unit. The tool for removing the lock bezel is shaped like a ring with four spokes and it is coated with rubber in order to grasp the bezel. Most bezel's can be easily rotated with your fingers once they are relased with the one of the wire types in the second picture.

If you are planning to replace the "electrical switch" please remove the lock and switch as an assembly, you will discover that life is much easier with the entire unit in your hand. :D
