Center console removal on 107.. Help please
 

I need to replace the center console on my 1972 350 Sl (4.5). It's the old kind with the carpet attached to the sides. Does anybody know how to remove the center console (with becker radio and manual AC controls?) I have the CD manuals, but can't find a description. Also, any advice in how to remove the old carpets to fit in the replacement console (from a 1979 450 SL) would be greatly appreciated.
