Hi to all users and administrators of this forum. i have to say really that it is a very wonderful job done by both the users and the administrators all together.

I have a problem with my 190E 92'. It consumes more petrol than before and i have not checked what do i get out of a full tank. There is no smoke and the car won't shiver or halt or any such problem. I have replaced the fuel filter and haven't found any leaks. I have also cleaned the throttle body and have changed the spark plugs also. A friend told me that I need to adjust the fuel mixture. But the big million dollar question is how to adjust the fuel mixture to the optimum point by myself.

Please help me as the fuel consumption is eating me away.

the last thing that needs to be done is adjusting the mixture. you have done all the "gimme" things. now you need to test some things like the o2 sensor, maybe and or the cold startup compensator, and some other things that are a bit beyond me.

but adjusting the mixture is one of the things that people can figure out how to do (and rarely helps but just gets it more screwed up so that it needs to be adjusted after the actual problem is found) . there shouldnt be a need for that if everything is working properly.

thanks for your reply, but i have checked all those. I took the car to a friend of mine and he said that after some time or the other we do need to adjust the fuel mixture just like our carburetors. It would really be appreciated if you could provide me the parameters involved while adjusting the mixture.
