asr and abs light wont go away
i have a 94 mercedes s 320 i had the light bulb light come on so i tried replacing the brake light bulb when i did that the asr light came on so i took it out and it went away but that didt eliminate the problem totaly somtimes i would be at a light and the car would be idleing andi would hit the gas and it would not respond so then i would turn the car off and then it would work fine but recently the asr and the abs lights a came on which only one came on before when they come on the power steering goes limp before i tried replacing the bulbs it never did this so i think that maybe theres a relation to the brake lights and the asr abs lights but i dont know why the power steering would go limp because of the lights my friends think it might be some kind of short or somthing so im kinda puzzled on y my steering is being affected by all this the brakes work fine on the car and the throttle hasnt done anything wrong anymore but now my steering is messed up so me and my friends think there is some relation between these things i would like some feed back on what u guys think is wrong im totaly puzzled on it
all i know is it was fine before i replaced the bulbs and this problem didt happen right away when i changed the bulbs it happened about 4 days after anyway if anyone knows whats up i would really appreciate the feedback. |

Check wiring harnesses, accelerator linkage, alternator charging, and add periods.

Power Problem
It sounds like your electrical system is going under 10 volts... New battery and alternator would be a first consideration. Check serpentine belt tension.
A major oil leak onto to your belt, could cause this too.... Get a VOM (multi-tester) and check voltage at your batteries terminals. You need at least 13.5 volts there, with 14 VDC, being optimum... |
