speedometer/tachometer not working
 

My tach works when it wants to, but my speedometer doesnt work at all. How do i go about getting it to work again. Ive asked one of the trusted mb shops in the area and he said it might be the cable near the drivers side front wheel is torn. He asked if there was a spinning noise near the wheel when im driving (which there is) and that might be whats causing the problem :confused:

Can you guys help me please!

thanks. i remember seeing a cable looped around the transmission when i was doing a tranny fluid/filter change. So where does the cable lead to? and where does it start?

The tranny was replaced by the original owner but not sure if it was of the same make/model/year. I dont have a very good camera to take pics but i will give it a shot hopefully they will come out good.
